“N. 3 Finestre sul cortile” is an Album di Famiglia project.
A place imagined like a bespoke suit,
where to spend some days of rest, lightness, sobriety, inspiration.
“N. 3 Finestre sul Cortile” simply three rooms, in Cadorago,
a little village in the north of Italy, 15 km from Como and 30 km from Milan.
According to an ancient legend Cadorago means Dragon’s Home (Cà del Drago),
in memory of an inn for travellers on horseback.
In this village, in this house, my father and my mother lived
and here my sisters, my brother and me, we are born and grown up.
Here my son Pietro is born.
Always here, I have dreamt and created in 2000,
“N. 3 Finestre sul Cortile” is a simple place full of peace.
Once, it was Tina’s flat, the best friend
of my family, who lived next to us.
In these three rooms, you can still breathe
the love she had for her home,
the love she has always had for us.
Today these rooms open their doors to new guests and friends.
White is lightness and purity.
It’s a new page.
This room reminds us that, in life, it’s always possible to start over.
Grey is sobriety and straightness. It’s something staying in the middle.
This room reminds you to love your life, as it is. Now.
Black is intensity and mystery. It’s past and future.
This room reminds you that everything is connected
and you are a precious thread in the plot of Life.
